- Wash chicken and pat dry. Cut skin and tendon at base of drumstick and push meat and skin to top to form a ball.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper (and cayenne, if you like it spicy).
- Mix soy sauce, water and ginger and pour over chicken in a stainless steel bowl or Zip-loc bag.
- Marinate in fridge for 30-60 minutes.
- Remove chicken from marinade and drain liquid.
- Bake chicken at 190 C (375 F) for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from oven and drain fat from pan.
- Mix garlic sauce and honey together.
- Pour honey mixture over chicken in pan to coat chicken thoroughly.
- Return to oven for 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
- Remove drumsticks and place on serving dish.
- Allow honey mixture to cool slightly to thicken (3-5 minutes) and then pour over chicken to coat thoroughly. Sprinkle sesame seeds over drumsticks and serve while warm.
